Lackluster hotel We stayed at the Luxor as a request from our older children who liked the theme. We booked the Premier King and Premier Queen rooms. Nothing premier about it. The room was clean and spacious. They had also been adequately updated. However, the rooms had zero amenities. No fridge, bar, coffee maker, shower caps, etc. This was disappointing. The Luxor has successfully removed hospitality from their resume - even check-in/out is all done at kiosks in a chaotic and crowded “lobby”. Staff that is eager to talk to you are trying to upsell you. We did encounter a handful of staff that were genuinely kind which was a breath of fresh air. The inclinators are incredibly slow. We actually had to resort to the stairs at checkout (with all of our luggage). As for the casino: I was surprised that I was never offered a drink while gambling. I thought that was kinda the “perk” dumping money into machines, but I didn’t see it as something they even offered. Overall, while the Luxor is one of the cheaper hotels, the value isn’t there. I would pay more staying somewhere else for better value via amenities and service.

HORRIBLE Worst hotel I've ever stated in. Dirty, rooms not cleaned well, cut my foot on broken glass. Never vacuumed. Switched us to a tower room and wasn't any better. I would have gathered stay at home and checked into one of our resorts. I WILL NEVER STAY AT AN MGM PROPERTY AGAIN. NOT EVEN WORTH THE CHEEP COST

Mixed bag Pro: Clean, conveniently located Cons: No in-room water, coffee, tissues, clock, door locks, information about hotel or resort amenities, fridge = extra $$

Once is enough We booked the Luxor due to its location near the stadium where we were attending a concert. First thing to note is the building itself is very impressive. However the communal areas near the elevators and the hallways to the rooms are extremely scruffy and well overdue a refurbishment. The "luxury" pyramid room was ....well...ok. no way Luxury but we figured it was OK for sleeping in. Beds and pillows really comfortable. Bar staff were friendly and we got quite a few drinks comped by playing the bar games. We didn't eat in the hotel but did use the Starbucks daily......gets very very busy. The cocktail waitresses were friendly and came round often. The worst staff we encountered in the Luxor were ALL the staff by the pool. Inept. Rude. Uninterested and clueless. I wouldn't stay again but it did the job

An hour to check in The hotel is fine, but the check in experience was terrible. Queuing for an hour after our 10 hour flight to Las Vegas was purgatory.
